Capital redevelopment of a bridge down the M-4 "Don" in Krasnodar Krai started
The Russian Highways State Company commenced major structural repairs of a bridge across
the Kaverze River at km 1398 down the M-4 "Don" federal motorway near Pyatigorskaya. Road
users should pay attention to the indications of temporary signs and road markings.
During the repairs, the speed limit at the section will be lowered to 40 km/h along with narrowing
of the road to 3 meters wide in each direction. Upon completion, the structure is to withstand
present loads and comply with I-B technical category regulations. The bridge will feature four
lanes instead of the current three, and traffic flows will be separated by a crash barrier.
Provision is also made for the installation of new illumination.
The operations are to be carried out in two phases, first on the right side, then on the left side
down the road course. The structure is scheduled to be commissioned in 2026
