Down the M-4 "Don" in Krasnodar Krai, 6 weight-in-motion checkpoints arranged

On the border of Rostov Oblast and Krasnodar Krai, at km 1120 of the M-4 "Don" motorway, the
interdepartmental commission inspected the functioning of automatic checkpoints for vehicle weight and
dimensions (APVGK).
All tests have been successfully passed, showing that the equipment operation corresponds to
metrological requirements and is recognized as correct. It deserves special mention that a member of the
transportation community, the Russian Motor Transport Union, took part in the tests.
So far, six weight-in-motion checkpoints of this kind have been installed along the M-4 motorway in
Krasnodar Krai.
All of the State Company's APVGCs are systematically monitored for correct operation, road surface
condition and measurement accuracy.
The Russian Highways State Company stresses that all road users win from safe and quality roads, and
therefore calls on haulage companies to keep the actual weight and dimensional capacities of their trucks
in compliance with the limits specified by laws or special permits.
On the other hand, Russian Highways State Company keeps reminding truck drivers of the requirement
to strictly comply with road traffic regulations in the areas of weight-in-motion checkpoints, in particular, to
ride across them at a steady speed, to avoid sharp maneuvers, braking or a complete stop.
Compliance with this rule will mitigate the risk of road accidents, thus safeguarding the lives and health of
road users.
