Concreting of the last section of the Malye Vyazemy Bypass down the Central Ring Road completed

The construction of the Malye Vyazemy Bypass is being completed down the Central Ring Road
in Moscow Oblast. The viaduct's last section was concreted at the site, which will provide a
through passage for both trucks and passenger cars.
Now the builders are laying the blacktop, installing crash barrier, and painting road signage.
Furthermore, noise and dirt screens are installed to ensure the comfort of local residents
dwelling near the roadway. Presently, 436 workers and 126 units of machinery are engaged in
the operations.
Five road structures have been erected during the construction of the bypass with a total length
of just over 4 km. Among them are three overpasses across Yamskaya Street, Mozhaiskoye
highway and the railroad tracks of the Smolensk direction of the Moscow Railway, as well as a
bridge across the Bolshaya Vyazemka River and a tunnel.
The Malye Vyazemy Bypass will help relieve the local street system and divert transit traffic out
of its boundaries. With its commissioning, the section of the Central Ring Road between
Mozhaiskoye and Minsk highway will be relieved. It is expected to noticeably improve transport
links between cities of the Moscow region, reducing travel time from Zvenigorod to the center of
Odintsovo, as well as to Vnukovo airport.
Motor traffic along the new bypass is scheduled to be launched by the end of December this
year.
